As an industrial Design Professor at Carleton University since 1994, Lois has been engaged in user-centred creative problem solving in the design of products and services for people’s everyday lives, ranging from wearable computing devices to dinner ware, and many items in between. She loves design and the steps that a designer needs to take to really understand a problem before trying to solve it – the fuzzy front end is fun for her. Lois sketches, makes things, and imagines all kinds of possibilities. She is looking forward to meeting new people at CPSI and learning new approaches to problem solving.
